FIONA MOVING WEST-NORTHWESTWARD OVER THE OPEN ATLANTIC

At 500 AM AST (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Fiona was located near latitude 22.2 North, longitude 51.7 West. Fiona is moving toward the west-northwest near 16 mph (26 km/h) and this general motion is expected to continue during the next couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts. Gradual weakening is forecast during the next
48 hours. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 60 miles (95 km) from the center.
